When Kirsten told me she needed a Tampa wedding photographer for a small intimate wedding, she wasn’t kidding. I asked how many guests and she replied with “zero” This was a first for me, as I’ve done a few backyard type of gigs, but not a destination elopement. I met Kirsten and her Rafael, her husband-to-be at Sunset Beach in Treasure Island. They said their vows quickly and we spent the majority of the time hanging out, talking about Cleveland Ohio (their hometown), and taking some awesome pictures. Some couples require a bit of help loosening up in front of the camera, but Kirsten and Rafael were naturals. I told them where to stand, and they did the rest; laughing with inside jokes and whispering silly or perhaps naughty things into one another’s ears. Our day wrapped up at the prestigious Don Cesar resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida. It is a magnificent building that I hope to photograph many people in front of over the years to come.
