Amaranta called me only a few weeks ago, after finding me on The Knot. When she said her wedding date was October 6th, I was almost certain she meant October 6th of 2019, but I was wrong! She meant this year, as in yesterday. Although I have been busy flying back and forth between Tampa and New Jersey, I happened to have the day open. Amaranta and Andrew quickly met me for coffee at a Starbucks in Seminole, only minutes after getting off of her flight from Houston, TX. We immediately hit it off, and all had a good feeling about their intimate backyard wedding. Things didn’t go exactly as planned as a classic Floridian torrential downpour wreaked havoc on the backyard decorations. One of the white tents collapsed! However everyone came together to put things back into place once the rain stopped. Although there were some clouds, we got just a kiss of sunlight during the first kiss, which made for a lovely glow in their photos. After taking some photos, we all enjoyed some traditional Hawaiian food from “Aloha to Go” and finished off the night with a few creative night photos.
Thank you for being such friendly, patient clients, and for making the best out of a rainy day. I can’t wait to deliver your full gallery, but I hope you enjoy this next day preview gallery as much as I do. -Mike Zawadzki
