Betsy and Rich were referred to me by my friends Jen and Steve who run their own wedding photography business, “The Fox and the Hare Photography.” I used to work with Steve at Unique Photo in Fairfield, NJ with Steve and I consider Jen and Steve to be friends, and trusted peers in the industry. I was honored that they sent Betsy and Rich my way, so thank you Jen & Steve for being the embodiment of community over competition! I truly appreciate it the referral and look forward to hanging out with you guys the next time I am in NJ. After filling out the contact form on my website, and having our first phone consult together, I knew Betsy and Rich were the perfect couple for me. We connected well, shared some common interests, laughs, chatted about food, and they told me how important photography was to them. They are having their wedding at the hip and happening Art Factory in Paterson, NJ. While most couples decide to pick a different location than their wedding venue for engagement photography, Betsy and Rich wanted to do their engagement session at The Art Factory, so I could get familiar with the venue and the kind of lighting to expect. They want to plan their wedding around the time(s) that would be best for photography. How cool is that? I don’t expect every couple to be as accommodating or passionate about photography, but it warms my heart and makes my job easier. We had a lot of fun exploring The Art Factory together, and finding all sorts of interesting backgrounds, windows, and light to play with. Betsy and Rich are so easy going and fun in front of the camera, and I know their wedding will be spectacular next October.
