Although I’ve been to Perona Farms in Andover, New Jersey many times as a NJ Wedding Photographer, I was extra excited for Casey and Leo’s wedding which they had started planning many years ago, before the world changed in 2020 with COVID-19. Thankfully their event was finally able to happen in June of 2022. From our first call Casey and Leo described all of the finite (boho, rustic, earthy, and warm come to mind as good descriptions!) details and personal touches that would make their Perona Farms Barn wedding perfect! I also knew from that first call just how chill, fun, and easy to work with they would be. The perfect combination of parts was in place, we just had to wait a little bit to put it all together!
Just like so many of our couples tell us, Casey and Leo let me know right away that while some traditional/posed photos were important to them, they really wanted us to focus on all of the natural, candid, and behind the scenes moments. But besides getting all of the key photos on their shot list that our studio manager Tiffany put together, they wanted to make sure that it was all done in a timely manner, so that they could spend time celebrating, and breaking it down on the dance floor (hello Phish fam!) with all of their special people. In order to make the perfect Perona Farms Barn wedding photography timeline, we planned ahead of time by bringing extra touches for the detail flay lay, and arrived early to start arranging our first compositions. Hey it never hurts to be extra prepared!
Ceremony & Reception Venue: The Barn at Perona Farms

As lovers of music, Casey and Leo spent a lot of time picking out their band and playlist. So it was really important for us to get photos done – so they could enjoy their reception. Though they were gracious enough to step outside for a quick sunset during golden hour and an even quicker night time photo on the new outdoor patio area at the Perona Farms Barn. They agreed it was worth their time, but then quickly got back to the party!
“Thank you Casey and Leo for being so easy to work with, especially with so much uncertainty and changes during COVID. My team and I felt so comfortable around your family and friends. The decor you picked was perfect, and we couldn’t ask for a better blend of posed and candids moments that were right there in front of our faces to capture for you!” -Mike
