I’ve known Rebecca for a long time. We met in Photography class at Montclair State University in 2007, and became fast friends while working on projects in the studio and darkroom. So naturally I was flattered that another photographer *and* an old friend wanted to hire me for their wedding. It is difficult to imagine that 10 years has past, but so the have. This was also my first wedding back in New Jersey after moving to Florida. I know that probably sounds a little confusing, but TL;DR I live in Florida now as a Tampa wedding photographer, but still travel back “home” and all over the country for weddings. It was nice to be back on familiar turf at the Madison Hotel, where I have worked many times before. The arboretum is a wonderful ceremony and reception area. It ended up being cloudy on Rebecca’s wedding day, but as you can see from the photos, sometimes that works to our advantage. The arboretum at the Madison Hotel is a photographer’s wildest dream on a cloudy day. Rebecca and Bryan remained calm for and we cracked jokes from the start to finish. Their love is sincere, and can be seen in the silly inbetween type moments I caught them in all day long. It was truly special to document this day with so many wonderful people. All of Rebecca and Bryan’s friends/family really cut up the dance floor and provided ample photo taking oppurtunities.
