For Bridget And Jon, Wedding Photography Was A Top Priority, And They Considered A Photographer To Be Their Most Important Vendor. “Photos Are The One Element You Will Look At Forever,” Bridget Said.”
And she’s absolutely right. Photos are one of the only things you’ll have left to relive your day by. And if, like Bridget and Jon, you’re not hiring videographer, you’ll want LOTS of great images.
Like many couples we photograph, Jon and Bridget were looking for a photographer with variety in their portfolio. They didn’t want a collection full of light and airy images that looked and felt forced or posed. What they did want was for the photos to feel high-quality without the editorial fuss.
What they saw in our galleries was a style and color scheme they resonated with – warm and candid. So, we had a casual conversation on the phone where I got to know more about them and what they wanted from their photography experience. Then, they got to know a little more about the team and me, too.
From there, we set up an engagement session, which was Bridget’s favorite part of the planning process. Believe it or not, I hear this a lot! That’s because engagement sessions help couples get so much more comfortable in front of the camera – and with me! It also builds another layer of trust that makes all the difference.
The engagement session may have been Bridget’s favorite experience, but there was another positive experience she wasn’t expecting! “Being in constant contact with Mike. A lot of vendors leave you hanging, but Mike and his team have always responded quickly.”
Unfortunately, that can happen, but we take communication pretty seriously around here. We believe it’s important to always have those channels open because communication leads to trust. And if a client doesn’t trust us, we’ve already failed.
Bridget and Jon put their trust in us and said the relationship they built with us was the best part of their wedding-day experience. “Photos were not my focus of the day,” Bridget said. “But I could trust that [Mike] would get everything done well.”
When they got their photos back, they loved seeing all of their favorite moments. And having those moments to look at – and relive – over and over again was worth every penny!
“Be willing to spend more on a photographer who is worth it,” Bridget advises couples. “It is amazing to see something that may feel awkward turn into something beautiful.”
